I was told to call the cave springs police dept to help assist me in getting my daughters clothes etc. After her bf violently attacked her and put her in the hospital. I knew the parents of the boy was equally as violent as him. So I did as I was was told by a Rogers police officer and called the cave springs police dept as I was pulling into the parking lot. I did not approach anyone or start anything. Long story short. They of course came out and started getting loud and vulgar demanding this and that etc. The police did show up on scene. Unfortunately the officer that went and talked to the "adults" was told a lie that my husband overheard them telling the police officer I had not heard anything cause I was talking to another officer. All of the sudden he starts yelling at me to shut up and get in my car that I was causing a disturbance and I had better get in my car NOW or he was going to arrest me and my husband. I wasn't allowed to speak.. The more I tried the more violent he got towards me and the more he threatened to arrest me. I do not understand why he did that to me when I'm the that called for their help. He at one point got close enough to me as he was yelling that I smelled alcohol on his breathe. So what do I do? I was humiliated by the ones I needed help from. My daughter was shown that the police are just as violent and I am now reluctant to call the police for help because of one police officer..
